……and in real life, but ESPECIALLY on social media. Are you being consistent on the platforms that your customers are on? If not, my new video series Consistency Counts is a much watch. In this series, I will be breaking down how you can show up more on social media.
Consistency vs Frequency
And let’s be clear, consistency and frequency is not the same thing. Consistency is about showing up when you say you’re going to show up. That could be once a month or once a week. Frequency is about how often or how seldom you show up. You could either show up frequently or not so frequently.
This can be different for every person based on their life. For example, a single woman with no kids can probably show up more frequently on social media because she doesn’t have to plan her content and scheduling around when the children are quiet or less likely to interrupt. Whereas, a momma with young kids, may not be as frequent on social media because she has to plan time to create content when the littles ones are at their quietest or has someone else watch them.
Frequency, in my opinion, doesn’t matter as much as consistency. Be consistent, not frequent.
Frequency vs Quality
But if you can be more frequent, ensure that the content that you are putting out is of high quality. Quality matters more than the number of times that you can post a week. Don’t forgo quality just to be able to say that you posted everyday, all week. Quality posts are what counts.
Consistent Quality
So, bottom line. Show up consistently on social media with quality content. Take the time to put out content that you truly love and not that you rushed.
So which one are you? Let me know in the comments. Are you consistent or frequent on social media?
