Today is the First Monday of 2022!! 2022 – how crazy it is to say that already. But officially today is called National Thank God It’s Monday Day. Who knew that was a thing? 🤷🏾♀️
Here are some quick tips to get your Mondays off to a good start for 2022. Are you ready?
Take It Easy
Rome wasn’t built in a day. Don’t set super high expectations that today is supposed to comprise of some extravagant list of must dos in your business. It really is just another day. And if you started planning for 2022 back in December like I recommended, you’re already ahead of the curve.
Didn’t plan out your 2022 strategy? Write it down now. Where do you want your business to be by the end of 2022 and how will you get there?
Review First Quarter Goals
Look at your goals for the next 3 months. Break them down into more manageable tasks and actions. Think about what you can do each day or week to get closer to your end results.
Didn’t set goals for Q1? Set them now. Annual goals should always be broken down by Quarter. It gives you room to adjust and/or pivot as needed.
Plan Your Week
If you notice it’s a bit of a pattern. Plan out your year, then quarter, and now your first week. What is going to make you feel your best this week. List at a minimum 3 things that you want to get done by Friday. Set your plans on how you will get it done.
Use a project management tool or planner to track your daily, weekly, and monthly tasks. This will make it easier to track progress over time.
Celebrate Your First Monday
It’s the First Monday of 2022. You didn’t move a mountain today, but you made strides towards a successful year for yourself and your business. Keep the momentum going. Celebrate this small win and remember as the days, weeks, and months go by, to continue celebrating the small wins.
Splurge on Starbucks or your favorite mom/pop café. Close your laptop early and spend the rest of the afternoon off.
Your Monday is what you make it and so is your business. Make it a good one.
